Chen Liju carries out a medical aid mission in East Timor

On October 17, 2023, the 10th batch of Chinese (Sichuan) Medical Team flied to East Timor to fulfill the national medical aid mission. Through strict selection and intensive training, Chen Liju, a young yet skillful OB/GYN attending physician of Chengdu Women’s and Children’s Central Hospital (CWCCH), set out with the Chinese Medical Team.

The hospital’s leader in charge and heads of relevant departments accompanied Chen’s family to send her off at the airport, entrusting her to live up people’s trust, carry forward the spirit of Chinese Foreign Medical Team, i.e. "No fear of hardship, willing to contribute, healing the wounded, and loving beyond boundaries", uphold CWCCH’s purpose of  "all for the health of women and children", contribute to a new chapter in foreign medical aid with practical actions, and contribute to the construction of a global community of health for all!

As the strongest backing of the members of the foreign medical aid team, the hospital will relieve their worries, so that they can always feel the warmth from the motherland and the big family of CWCCH in a foreign country, and feel at ease to devote themselves to the cause of foreign medical aid. The persons in charge of foreign aid projects of the International Cooperation Office of the Sichuan Provincial Health Commission and the Foreign Relations Center of the Committee, leaders of dispatch units and relevant staff, as well as family members of the medical team members attended the send-off ceremony.
